Oprah Winfrey is being sued for $1 trillion dollars, by author Damon Lloyd Goffe. Goffe accuses Oprah Winfrey of plagiarizing passages from his book “A Tome of Poetry”. Oprah had published work online called “Pieces of my Soul.”
The $1 trillion dollar suit was filed against Oprah Winfrey on July 31, 2009 in a Washington D.C. court. Goffe claims that the trillion dollar suit is reasonable due to the fact that Winfrey sold approximately 650 million copies at $20.00 per book. Goffe also alleges that Winfrey admitted to the plagiarism in April 2008.
Oprah Winfrey has yet to comment or release a statement regarding the lawsuit.
