A mother who wrongly thought her two young children died in a car crash 34 years ago has been reunited with them.
American Vicki Rohring was told daughter Karen, then seven, and son Scott, then five, were killed in the October 1976 accident. A month earlier she had divorced husband Jimmy Black.
She said that he took the children after they split and moved away from the New York home they shared. She then received a call saying they were dead.
Scott Black and Karen Cason as children. Their mother was unable to find out any information about their supposed 1976 deaths until they managed to contact her recently.
Together again Vicki is finally reunited with her children
But last month she received a telephone call out of the blue and a woman who claimed to be helping Scott find his long-lost mother told her he would call Vicki later that evening.
The mother thought it was a crank call but then spoke to her son hours later.
'I will never lose my children again. Never. Never,' Ms Rohring, 63, told U.S. television.
