Just £3k for nurse tied up and left to die in car boot

Nurse Magdeline Makola
A nurse who survived being tied up and dumped in the boot of her car for ten days has been offered just £3,000 in criminal injuries compensation.
The figure, less than half of the earnings she lost while recovering, is equal to the compensation paid to prisoners who were forced to slop out.
Magdeline Makola, 39, was attacked in her home by illegal immigrant Justice Ngema, 36. He forced her to hand over her credit card details and left her to die in the car boot

Justice Ngema
Magdeline lost two stone as temperatures in Airdrie, Lanarkshire, dropped to-4C. She was close to death but eventually managed to remove the gag and call for help.
Ngema is now serving eight years in jail and will be deported on release.
Victim Support Scotland has appealed on Magdeline’s behalf about the award made by the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority
