Miss Dior Cherie

I felt so inspired by the latest "Miss Dior Cherie' campaign starring the lovely Natalie Portman I decided to buy a bottle of the perfume as I raced through the duty free at the airport. The campaign, shot in Paris by Sofia Coppola of 'Marie Antoinette' fame is pretty and romantic. The clip features Natalie and  a handsome young  newcomer, twenty year old Alden Ehrenreich. The background song 'Je t'aime' by Bridgette Bardot and Serge Gainsborough also just happens to be one of my favourites. This is the first time Natalie has ever endorsed a brand or a product so she also must think it's pretty nice fragrance!

Alex Perry for Waterford Crystal

Australian Fashion Designer Alex Perry along with Collette Dinnigan have found a niche market in opulent, show-stopping gowns. Alex Perry is the perfect choice for the fashion collaboration with Waterford Crystal. He has designed gowns that are light, transparent and dramatic inspired by crystal chandeliers and champagne flutes. The resulting dresses are a study in true fantasy glamour with Perry's signature corsets embellished with jewel-like crystals finishing in layers of soft tulle in nudes and lilacs.

These images got me in the mood for my Bora Bora holiday - so much so I just had to go out and do a bit more shopping! When it comes to snorkeling, swimming, relaxing poolside and suntanning on the deck of your beach bungalow you can never have too many bikinis - besides they hardly take up any room in a suitcase!

Chiffon is the most divine fabric. A dress with layers of sheer chiffon is both romantic and feminine. It has an etheral quality that makes you feel like you're floating. A perfect option for a flirty party dress, an elegant evening gown or a pretty bridesmaid dress. How heavenly are these two!

Falling In Love

With autumn leaves falling and crisper days I am starting to think of updating my winter wardrobe. I love this Louis Vuitton campaign with it's fifties inspired glamour and rusty brown autumn tones. The prefect high pony tails are fun and the cinched in waists and voluptuous bustlines are a welcome change after years of waif like models strutting down our catwalks. Bring on the feminine curves I say and let women be women!

Camilla Kaftans

With me being away on a tropical holiday I thought it was a great opportunity to post a fashion story on 'Camila'. Camila Franks is an Australian designer specializing in the most beautiful silk kaftans and heavenly resortwear. Each piece is a work of art - they are heavily embroidered and beaded or sparkling with jewels. Camilla’s colourful, graphic prints and free flowing designs are what has attracted celebrities like Opray, Beyonce and Fergie to buy from her collection. They are very expensive though, which is the only reason why I'm not taking one to Bora Bora!

Bon Voyage

Well I'm off to Bora Bora today and I must admit I am very, very excited. My bags are packed and overflowing. Work and clients are all organised for my twelve day absence. I have had a host of hair and beauty appointments to get me ready for holiday mode - spray tan, hair, nails, facial, the works! The older I get the more appointments I need and the more expensive it gets but I can relax now - I have a light tan with glossy hair and perfect nails. It won't last long but at least I can arrive in style! Whilst I'm away I have scheduled some posts so check in from time to time and I look forward to your comments on my return . In the meantime, Tahiti ...here I come!

My Travel Wardrobe

With less than a week to go before I head off on holiday, I'm madly racing around digging up goggles and snorkles, sunscreen, bikinis, kaftans and sun hats. I've bought an extra big suitcase so I am prepared for absolutely every occasion - if I fill that up then there's always my husband's! Bora Bora has a stylish reputation for hosting the A Lister crowd with the likes of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban choosing to honeymoon there. I am even wondering if we will see Wills and Kate there in the Royal Suite! My holiday wardrobe is bright pink, turquoise and aqua... pretty and tropical. There's lots of big patterns, bright florals and tie dye, not dissimilar to this 'Forever New' summer campaign.

There's Something About Kate

Kate Hudson with her winning smile and vivacious laugh has the ability to light up a room. I have always been a fan of her light hearted, girlie romantic comedies. News of her recent pregnancy inspired me to dig up some images from an old Harpers Bazaar fashion shoot with her son Ryder. Now, I have never looked that glamorous shopping for groceries, doing my laundry or filling my car with petrol. Is it just me or is there something special about Kate?!

Adieu Galliano

Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy fame is set to take the reins of Christian Dior after John Galliano's fall from grace. Galliano was fired from 'The House of Dior' after a couple of incidents where he was caught drunkenly ranting and raving anti-Semitic racist slurs in a Parisienne cafe. There was no way out for him when the most recent outburst was caught on a camera phone and he was instantly dismissed. He is now in rehab but it's such a pity when individuals who possess such talent and creativity abuse their power, insult others and get caught in a downward spiral. Just take look at Charlie Sheen and a host of other actors and musicians. As I have had a life long love affair with anything Dior I hope Mr Tisci can do  justice to the Dior label.
