There's Something About Kate

Kate Hudson with her winning smile and vivacious laugh has the ability to light up a room. I have always been a fan of her light hearted, girlie romantic comedies. News of her recent pregnancy inspired me to dig up some images from an old Harpers Bazaar fashion shoot with her son Ryder. Now, I have never looked that glamorous shopping for groceries, doing my laundry or filling my car with petrol. Is it just me or is there something special about Kate?!

Afternoon Tea - Celebrity Style

Is this not the most perfect afternoon tea setting? Jennifer Lopez in layers of mauve ruffles and the equally gorgeous Georgina Chapman  laughing, being frivolous taking high tea together. What a perfect way to spend an afternoon gossiping with girlfriends over scones, ribbon sandwiches, candy coloured macarons and dainty cupcakes! Take out your finest bone china, crystal champagne flutes, lace tablecloth, spend an afternoon baking and throw a lavish afternoon tea party at home. If that all seems like a lot of hard work then jump in a cab and head off to the Ritz or Claridges for an afternoon of indulgence!

Birthday Wishes

Thank-you all for your lovely birthday wishes.
I love these party images of Kylie celebrating her birthday in true style. Kylie and I have a lot of common we are about the same age and both grew up in Melbourne. We are also both blond, petite and love dancing - where we differ is that I can't sing to save myself and my birthday, just gone, was nothing like Kylie's. In fact, I had no glittery party hat, party frock or birthday cake. I even decided I would cook rather than go out to eat as the little country retreat my husband took me to was way out of town. Having said all of that, I had the loveliest time in the cutest of cottages. It was beautifully set up for a romantic getaway with fresh flowers, heavenly scented candles and dining in style so we took advantage of our luxurious surroundings and dined in on fresh seafood, smoked salmon and vintage Moet Rose. So although my birthday celebrations were very low key I think I had just as much fun as Kylie!

Princess Anne

The following Vogue fashion story for the November Issue with Anne Hathaway is sublimely elegant. Shot on location in Paris and New York by my favourite photographer Mario Testino. Mario has managed to capture the sophistication and glamour of a by-gone era that I really love. Jewels by Van Cleef and Arpels, Cartier and Chopard. Evening gowns in duchesse satin and silk faille are fit for a princess, long satin gloves and crystal embossed clutches by Roger Vivier and Jimmy Choo all add to the sparkle of a night on the town! Who better to escort Anne than French actor Raphael Personnaz?

Style Inspiration: Dita Von Teese

A beautiful black dress {modest might
I add!}
Bonjour ladies! :) Today I have a special treat for you.... I have decided to do an extended series on style paragons, so that all of you can choose your favorite! I am really excited to start this series. =) However, before I start, I need to make a statement: I do NOT endorse all of the people I choose as style examples, and I do NOT endorse all of their clothing, and I do NOT endorse all of their actions or professions. Please keep that in mind as I choose models of gorgeous style. :)
Today's example will be.... Dita Von Teese! As I said above, I do NOT  endorse this woman, at all. (Emphasis on NOT) She is probably going to be the person I least admire in conduct and morals this series, and I would never post her unless she had truly stunning style. I hope I have made that clear! Enjoy! :D
What a beautiful flower! And
the dress is cute too. {I hate those
shoes though :P }
Another pretty black dress :)
(excuse the neckline, please!)
What a sweet polka-dot-y dress!
This is the classiest way to wear an animal
print dress, that I've seen.... :)
She has lovely style, but the
make-up is over the top. :P
I want this dress!!!!! Badly.
What a cute coat. Oh, and sunglasses
are a girl's best friend, not diamonds!
I admit it. I want this dress more than
any other dress in the world. *Sigh*
Maybe... someday?
For all you ladies in business, she has
some lovely suit ideas! :)
*Gasp* gorgeous, but please excuse the bodice....
she really should have sleeves or something :)
How cute!!!!
This is so fifties!
I want that middle suit! Badly..... :) Notice, she always defines
her waist somehow. Pay attention to that if you are an hourglass!
What a cute coat! :) Is there ever a photo
of her without red lipstick?
I love this dress.... Add sleeves or
something and.... viola!
The bottom part of this dress looks plain
crazy, but the bodice is to die for! :)
This dress... I think I am drooling! {Again
about the bodice thing :/ }

What a cute, cute dress! (What is up with
that hat?)
Gorgeous. :)
I adore the gathered fabric at the hip!
Again about the bodice...
We must all learn from her
gorgeous posture. :)

Aw! What a cute flower-ish thing. :)
*Sigh*
What do you ladies think? :) Has she soared to the top of your style list? For me personally, I really enjoy her style, and she probably would score on the top 7, at the moment. That is all subject to change, however! :)
God bless!
