Music mogul Simon Cowell knows he's got it made as a judge on American Idol, The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent. Asked about his biggest achievements, he said: “I happen to think that I am extraordinarily lucky. I am doing something that I am passionate about and that I enjoy doing.”Simon turns 50 next month but claims he's not worried about getting older – though he admits he wants to forget about the landmark birthday. He told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “What is there to be excited about turning 50? Can’t we just pretend it is not going to happen? Seriously, I feel exactly the same now turning 50 as I did when I was 40 or 30. I am enjoying myself.” Simon and Mezhgan Hussainy (via News of the World)The star has also appealed to his showbiz friends, who will help him celebrate with a private party on Saturday, not to buy him gifts but to make charitable donations instead. He added: “There are a couple of charities I am involved with that would appreciate a donation. But please, no presents from anyone.”Simon has spent a reported £250,000 ($399,999) on his birthday party, inviting 400 guests to a black-tie bash at Hertfordshire's Wrotham Park. Guests expected to attend include music legend Sir Elton John and his partner David Furnish, Kevin Spacey, Denise Richards, Kate Moss, Kylie Minogue, the judges from his talent shows and most of his recording artists.Simon's American Idol make-up artist Mezhgan Hussainy, whom he is reportedly dating, has also been invited to the party along with his ex-girlfriends Terri Seymour, Jackie St Clair and singer Sinitta. In July, Simon was treated to a surprise early birthday bash, hosted by his long-time friend Jackie.
