MSc in Leadership, Management and Change in Health and Social Care
After achieving a Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy, Elizabeth gained many years of experience studying and working in Public Health, in her home country of the United Republic of Tanzania.
Whilst working for the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare as a Programme Manager on a Medicines Access Programme, Elizabeth decided that she would like to further her studies in the UK, to help her career development and to take advantage of the opportunity to live and study in another country.
"Several of my colleagues had already studied on Masters Programmes at the University of Bradford. I am particularly interested in the area of Leadership, Management and Change in Health and Social Care. I was determined to gain a place on the MSc in this subject, and was eventually fortunate enough to secure sponsorship funding from the World Bank. After completing my Masters, I am going to return to my job in Tanzania where I will be able to use the knowledge and skills that I have learnt," Elizabeth comments.
Elizabeth was impressed with the reputation of the University of Bradford and has found that both the University and the city have exceeded her expectations.
"As a graduate from an African country, I've been really impressed with the facilities which I have been able to access during my time here. I don't think they could have been better. There has been a lot to learn, but I've really enjoyed my experience of Bradford, have found time to socialise and to make many new friends. The city of Bradford is a great studying environment, its friendly and certainly not as expensive as many other UK cities," she said.
" I've learnt so much during my time here, team working skills, time management and the experience of working with other people with similar professional interests from different backgrounds. I'm looking forward to developing my career further on my return to Tanzania."
