Shouldn't you be on maternity leave? Surprised Prince Charles's greeting to heavily pregnant soldier awarded for bravery

Surprise, Prince Charles presents a medal to heavily pregnant Lance Corporal Kelly Barrow during a visit to Dishforth Airfield yesterday.

At nearly eight months pregnant, Lance Corporal Kelly Barrow wasn’t the typical figure of a soldier Prince Charles expected to be handing a medal to yesterday.
The royal could not contain his surprise as he decorated the 36-year-old for long service and good conduct.
L/Cpl Barrow, who has spent 15 years in the army, is due to give birth to a son named Aston on March 28.
Awarding her with the medal, Prince Charles asked the soldier, who has served on many overseas exercises including Afghanistan and Bosnia, whether it was safe for her to be at the ceremony, held at 9 Regiment Army Air Corps at Dishforth Airfield.
L/Cpl Barrow, from Mountain Ash, south Wales, said: ‘He asked me should I actually be here because of my lump and I told him I was going on maternity leave tomorrow.
‘Then he spoke to my husband, Antony, and asked us how long we had to wait for the baby to arrive.
