Honeymoon from hell....women shot dead and body dumped in back seat after car was hijacked in Cape Town

Khayelitsha township: Where a British woman was found dead and her partner had been dropped off nearby

British woman has been killed in Cape Town after she and her husband were hijacked near a city township.
The unnamed couple who were on honeymoon in South Africa were held up in a people carrier near the international airport at 11pm last night.
Police said the hijackers stopped the vehicle in an area called Gugulethu and forced the driver out and then drove off with the British couple inside.
An hour later the 31-year-old man was dropped off  in the sprawling township of Khayelitsha on the fringes of the city.
A passing motorist helped him to a nearby police station and officers immediately began a search for the hijacked Volkswagen Sharan.
It was later found in Lingelethu West, another part of the township, and the 28-year-old woman's body was found dumped on the back seat.
Unconfirmed reports said the woman had been shot.
