South Africa's president, Jacob Zuma.
The 69-year-old - who currently has three wives, one ex-wife and a fiancee - has caused outrage among the electorate by hinting that he could be walking down the aisle yet again.
Last weekend the polygamist attended the wedding of one of his daughters accompanied by an ex-girlfriend, NonKululeko Mhlongo, who is the mother of two of his children.
According to the Times, Miss Mhlongo sat with the presidential party, which included Mr Zuma's three current wives and his fiancee, during the ceremony.
The incident sparked rumours that Miss Mhlongo is set to join Mr Zuma's growing list of spouses, adding to the cost of an already expensive presidential household.
All of Mr Zuma's wives and many of his 20 children live a life of luxury funded by the state. Meanwhile, the ruling African National Congress has come under fire for failing to provide basic services 17 years after the end of apartheid.
A spokesman for the president later played down the 'mischievous and baseless' rumours of another wedding.
'Miss Mhlongo is the mother of the President's two children,' the spokesman was quoted as saying.
'She regularly attends family gatherings and remains close to the family.'
Mr Zuma met Miss Mhlongo in the 1990s and their daughters were born in 1998 and 2000.
