Having three children born on the same date is the perfect way to avoid forgetting their birthdays.
On the other hand, it means three sets of presents and three parties on the same day.
Fortunately, the chances of ending up with the same dilemma as Jennifer and Driss Allali is an astonishing 48million to one.
The couple are celebrating the extraordinary feat after their latest child, Sami, was born on October 7. He shares the same birth date as brother Adam, three, and sister Najla, five.
Mrs Allali, a brain injury nurse from Eastbourne, East Sussex, said: 'We didn't plan this. It's a complete surprise and we still can't believe it has happened.
'Just a few days before Sami was born we thought "Oh my gosh, it could be the 7th again". We didn't focus on the dates but now it's happened it's amazing.
'I was in the middle of blowing up balloons for Najla and Adam's birthday when the contractions started. Driss was out so I waited for him and he took me to hospital.
'The midwives couldn't believe it when we told them. Three children on the same day must be some sort of record.
'We didn't have a birthday party this year because I was in hospital. Poor Najla - for two of her birthdays she has had to spend it with mummy in hospital.'
