'Drunk' father leaves his three-year-old son in a car for 25 hours... after he forgets where he parked

3-year-old Dylan Kurihara was left abandoned in his car overnight by his drunk father.

A three-year-old boy was left alone in a car for up to 25 hours by his father who was allegedly too drunk to remember where he had left his son.
Dylan Kurihara was found safe and well late Sunday night in a parking garage in Pasadena, California, by a local resident after being reported missing by his mother earlier that morning.
The boy was last seen with his father Joe Kurihara leaving a wedding at about 9.30pm on Saturday.
Joe Kurihara had been arrested on Saturday night at about 10.30pm for public intoxication but police were not immediately aware that he was in charge of a child as he was on foot at the time of the arrest.
The alarm was raised when the boy's mother woke at 8.00am on Sunday discovering her partner and child had not made it home.
Kurihara, 23, reportedly told police he did not remember being with Dylan because he was too drunk and had no idea where he had left his car.

Around 50 officers with sniffer dogs and volunteers combed the streets looking for the missing boy yesterday.
Local resident Rowdy Metzger looked in the parking structure and recognised the toddler inside his father's missing silver Lexus sedan and immediately notified authorities.
Metzger said he has a 3-year-old himself and wanted to help in the hunt to find the missing boy.
